Many commercial properties are used for specialized applications and as a result generally have more advanced and specialized equipment in the property resulting in a higher fee than a standard home inspection. Call me to discuss your requirements in detail for an accurate quote. MOULD ASSESSMENTS: Mould is a major concern for many homeowners today, and mould affects each person differently. You may have heard of people talking about “toxic mould ”, these are moulds that release potentially toxic substances called “ mycotoxins”. The truth of the matter is that depending on the person they may still have adverse effects whether the mould is considered toxic or not. As a homeowner whether mould is considered toxic or not it needs to be remediated, in the home mould is the result of a moisture issue. Flooding, leaking basement, leaking plumbing, roof leaks, high humidity are all causes of moisture that relates to mould. During a Mould Assessments I utilize a Thermal Imaging Camera to help locate hidden moisture issues, as well as moisture meters, humidity meters, and borescopes that allow me to look behind walls via a small drilled 3/4 inch hole to help visually find hidden mould issues. Sampling is then undertaken if necessary to confirm the presence of mould. These samples could be air samples, tape samples, and swab samples, please contact me to assist you in your Mould Assessment issues. THERMAL IMAGING/IR: Thermal Imaging/IR is a technology that measures the slightest temperature differentials along the surface of a material. These differences are then displayed as the images that you see in the pictures presented on my web site. This technology DOES NOT SEE THROUGH WALLS, although the images may appear that way. This technology is useful for detecting moisture issues, electrical issues, HVAC leaks, energy loss detection, flat roof leak detection, insulation issues. I utilize this technology during my Home Inspections, Commercial Building Inspections, Mould Assessments, and Moisture Intrusion Assessments. I will also come out and just do a Thermal Imaging Scan of your property independently if you feel you may have some issues you would like addressed.
